Vintage Native American Navajo Rug - Black, Brown, Beige - 60.5" by 42.5" (M7)
Colors include black, brown, beige, and white. There are no tags or markings to indicate maker.
On the frontside of the rug, the detail is well
executed
and the colors are consistent with the age of the rug. T
here are several small stains primarily in the outer beige section. Note photos. There is also a spot where intact beige threads in the center of the rug are visible, but the weave around them is gone. You can see through the threads to the other side. There has been no repair made.
On the backside of the rug, the colors are more faded. There is a small area of beige threads in the center around where the black cross is that no longer has the weave. You can see through to the other side. (This is the same place that was noted on the front side of the rug.) On the beige area, there are multiple small stains which we have not attempted to clean.
Edging is frayed for about 4 inches on one side of the rug. It looks like it has been repaired on both ends.
We have not attempted to clean or repair the rug ourselves.
