Vintage 1986 Smokey Bear SF 49ers Front Line Arson Prevention Poster

Description

This is an arson prevention poster from 1986 when the SF 49ers were in their heyday. The poster is entitled "Arson Prevention," and includes the caption,  "San Francisco 49ers and Smokey Bear-Guardians of California's Wildlands. They Need YOUR Help!" It features the SF 49ers front offensive line, from left to right, Keith Fahnhorst, Randy Cross, Smokey Bear, Fred Quillan, John Ayers, and Bubba Paris, and is taken in Candlestick Park. The poster measures 22" across and 17" high. It was produced as "A Public Service in Wildfire Prevention, 1986 in cooperation with the San Francisco 49ers, Forest Service-U.S.D.A., California Department of Forestry, and the Bureau of Land Management-U.S.D.I." This poster is unusual in that it has valuable information on the reverse side instructing the public on what to do when spotting an arsonist. Please see photos and contact me with any questions.
