Available now! Aluminum Competition Speedloaders Pachmayr’s new revolver Speed Loaders will set the standard for quality and performance. Unlike competitive models which are made of plastic, Pachmayr’s Speedloaders are precision CNC machined from solid aluminum. The Speed Loader bodies are cut in a polygon shape which produces the smallest possible outside dimensions and allows them to easily fit compact revolvers. The Speedloaders are also equipped with a rattle eliminating o-ring which contacts the cartridge bases and firmly holds the rounds in place. Cartridges are released with a simple twist of the large knurled knob. Speed Loaders are available for the “J” frame/Ruger LCR, as well as “K”, “L”, "N" frame revolvers, and 6-shot Ruger .327 Federal.

    Company Statement on Pachmayr Aluminum
    Competition Speedloaders
Pachmayr has had several questions regarding the direction in which the speedloader knob is turned in order to release the cartridges.  This has come up because some competitor's plastic speedloaders release when turned to the right, while ours release when turned to the left.  When our engineers (who are all experienced shooters) designed our speedloader, they spent quite a bit of time reviewing other available speedloaders and tried to improve upon them.  One item that was identified as an improvement was to make the cartridges release when turning to the left.  We believe that this gives the user several solid advantages.  First, since cylinders swing out to the left, turning the release knob to the left helps keep the cylinder fully open when reloading.  Second, turning to the left naturally tends to move your fingers away from the frame and grips, as opposed to turning to the right, which tends to move them against the revolver.  Also, as the cartridges are released, turning to the left allows natural follow-through motion to pull the speedloader away from the revolver.  And finally, there is mechanical inclination to tighten turning to the right and loosen turn to the left, just like a bolt or bottle cap.
We hope this clear up any confusion and we certainly believe that once you use our speedloader, you will appreciate their superior design and construction.
    IMPORTANT NOTES
    :
If your revolver is not listed, the speedloader may not fit--check with the gun manufacturer. If the cylinder dimensions are the same as a listed revolver, then they might use the same speedloader. Whether your gun is listed or not, with the cylinder fully open there must be a straight path for all rounds to load simultaneously, plus a small allowance for the thickness of the side of the speedloader. If your revolver's grip or cylinder release is in the way of the speedloader, the grip or cylinder release may need to be replaced or modified. Make sure the round count and caliber of your cylinder matches that of the speedloader. Listed above is the extent of what has been tested by Pachmayr or reported by other customers as working--if your gun is not listed we have no further information. If the gun manufacturer has changed the gun or grip in recent years, or it is a newer model, it is possible the listed speedloader for that gun may not work--check with the gun manufacturer.  Ammo not included.
